Nocturnal Giraffe Theatre produced its first show with Piñata at the Minnesota Fringe Festival in 2022 and followed with Matt & Ben in 2023 at Bryant Lake Bowl.

Nocturnal Giraffe Theatre was founded by Katie Consamus and Kevin Argus, who apparently somehow inaccurately determined that they did not already spend enough time together as married people. (Married to each other, to be clear.)

Katie grew up in Iowa, then bounced around the Midwest (including the Midwest of the East Coast: Queens, NY) before somehow ending up in Minneapolis. She has been in and worked on approximately 400 million plays in varying capacities. Some of them have been extremely good, and some of them have been extremely bad. A confused member of Actors’ Equity since 2008, Katie holds a BA in Theatre/French from Saint Louis University and an MFA in Acting, University of Iowa. Please don’t ask her to speak French; she probably doesn’t remember any.

Kevin grew up in Indiana but frequently lies about it and says he’s from Iowa. We’re not 100% sure why. Kevin followed Katie to New York, and then he came up with the insane idea of moving to Minneapolis, a place even more emotionally distant than New York City. Kevin has a small collection of Masters degrees, including an MFA in Theatre, as well as several bizarre certifications. In times of stress, he likes to juggle, hurl discs at fences, and practice his golf swing indoors in rooms with low ceilings, preferably with small children around.
